Day 1
Depart from Johannesburg/Pretoria between 06:00 and 07:00. We travel east through
the Highveld farmlands, to the Mpumalanga Province,
heading for the world renowned Kruger National Park, entering
through one of the southernmost entrance gates, from where we start our "Bundu
Experience". After setting up camp, we venture out on our first exciting
game drive. Returning to camp at sunset, for a hearty dinner and time to relax
around a log fire, listening to the sounds of the African night. Overnight at
the Kruger Park at one of our campsites. Accommodation in 2-person safari dome
tents with mattresses.
Day
2
An early rise, we begin the day with coffee and rusks, before venturing out
on a morning game drive. Breakfast to be served at one of the picnic sites en-route.
Most of the day will be spent game viewing, bird watching and stopping at the
various waterholes and viewpoints. We arrive back at camp at sunset, time to
enjoy a traditional braai (barbeque) and relax around the campfire. Depending
on availability, an optional night drive can be booked.
Day 3
Depart from Kruger National Park and travel south-east towards the Swaziland
border. We enter the Kingdom of Swaziland, nestled snugly between,
Mozambique, Northern Zululand and Mpumalanga. We make our way to a traditional
Swazi Culture village, where we gain insight into the Swazi
Cultural beliefs, traditional dancing and singing. We enjoy lunch at
the village, before departing for Hlane Royal National Park.
We set up camp, before exploring Hlane on a guided game walk, giving us the
opportunity to track White Rhino on foot. Evening to be spent camping at Hlane.
DAY 4- SOTHERN MOZAMBIQUE
We depart from Hlane and make our way South East to the Golela border post and
into Kwa-Zulu Natal. Our journey takes us via Lake Jozini and into Maputaland,
via Kosi Bay , as we once again head across the border to seaside village in
Mozambique . The evening is to be spent at one of the coastal resorts. (BD)
DAY 5 KOSI BAY
This morning we have the opportunity to relax on the beach or take part on in
one of the many activities. These include snorkeling, scuba diving or swimming
with the bottlenose dolphins. We depart Mozambique in the late afternoon and
make our way to the shores of Kosi Bay lake system. We enjoy a guided boat trip
exploring the three exploring the three lakes that make up this unique water
system. This tour will provide sightings of crocodiles, hippos, a variety of
bird life, including the rare Palm-Nut vulture and majestic Fish eagle. We end
the day enjoying sundowners around the log fire. Evening to be spent at Kosi
Bay . (BD)
DAY6 ST LUCIA
We depart Kosi Bay making our way to Hluhluwe/Umfolozi Game Reserves, the oldest
game reserve in Africa . The day is spent on game drives, searching for the endangered
black rhino, for which this park is famous. We depart Hluhluwe in the late afternoon
and head for Lake St. Lucia , a World Heritage Site. Evening to be spent on the
banks of Lake St Lucia . (BD)
DAY 7 DURBAN
We leave this magnificent area and make our way to the coastal city of Durban
, where our tour ends. (B)
